3 Mango Recipes (Under 15 minute recipes with the Vivid Collection for a Mangolicious Summer)

It’s officially summer, and you know what that means, don’t you? Yes, it’s mango season! For us mango lovers, it’s a torture waiting in anticipation all year round for our favourite fruit to arrive. But when it arrives, there's no stopping us. 

Ever wonder what you’re going to do with all of the mangos you brought home from the grocery store? Well, you could always cut them up and eat them whole, that never goes out of style. But if you’re feeling a little adventurous, why not experiment and cook up some new recipes with them?

Mangoes are a versatile fruit that go well with a variety of sweet and savory meals_from Alphonso, Himsagar to Langra and Chaunsa, there’s also a wide range of options for us to indulge in and experiment with. The following recipes require the least amount of time, effort, and utensils, and makes for a tasty treat at any time of the day. What’s more, with the all new colorful range of dinnerware, plating up in style won’t be an issue either.

 

Mango Lettuce Wrap 

Looking for the perfect appetizer to serve at brunch parties this summer? Look no more. Served on our long Food Platter, these delightful Mango Lettuce Wraps are light and refreshing, perfect for summertime! The rich ingredients of the cottage cheese-mango-carrot mixture, along with some cilantro and lemon dressing, provide the perfect blend of sweet, sour and tangy sensations to our taste buds.

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl of freshly diced and grilled cottage cheese

  • 2 mangos cut into small or medium dices

  • 4 large leaves of Lettuce

  • ¼ cup Julienned Carrots

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 lemon cut and sliced/1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

  • ½ cup of cilantro leaves, finely chopped for garnish

  • 1 tablespoon ginger juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pan fry or grill the cottage cheese using our grilling plates.

  2. Toss together all the ingredients, and carefully place them on the lettuce leaves.

  3. Sprinkle some cilantro and squeeze some lemon on the wraps for added flavour and voila, your Mango Lettuce Wrap is ready!

  4. If you’re a fan of ginger taste, add on a little bit of ginger juice as well for that extra tang.

 Nestip: You can also use some grilled chicken, or pork, instead of the cottage cheese, if you’re looking for a more protein based meaty serving.

 Tableware Used

Mango Cannoli Sandesh

 

A Desi twist to the famous Italian delicacy, the Cannoli Mango Sandesh is our all time favourite recipe, and very soon, it’s going to be yours.

Ingredients

  • 2 mangos cut in thin crepe like slices.

  • Cottage cheese paste

  • Pistachios

  • Cardamom

  • Saffron

Instructions

  1. Cut the mangoes into thin crepe like slices.

  2. Lightly fry or toast them on the pan. (optional)

  3. Mix the saffron and cardamom powder with the cottage cheese paste.

  4. Roll the mixture into the slices.

  5. Garnish with pistachios and serve.

Nestip: For a chocolaty delight, replace the cream cheese with some dark chocolate ganache.

 Tableware Used

 

We used the Grill plate for oven in ceramic is microwave safe for an elevated kitchen experience. The colourful plates can be used as food boards to display an array of snacks like cheese, chopped fruits, bread croutons, bread sticks, and of course, our delectable Mango Sandesh.

Mango Melba Cheesecake

When unexpected visitors arrive, do you find yourself worrying about what to serve them on such short notice? If you didn’t know already, melba toast is great as an appetizer or a light snack, and if you’re looking to get creative with it, Nestasia shows you how to do just that by using just a few ingredients, focusing on the king of fruits, of course.

Ingredients

  1. 7-8 slices of store-bought Melba toast

  2. 1 cup Cream Cheese

  3. 2-3 mangoes cut into very thin long slices

Instructions

  1. Slice the mangoes into thin long sections.

  2. Lather a generous amount of cream cheese onto the melba toasts.

  3. Place the thin slices on top as shown in the picture, and there you have the perfect delicacy to serve to your guests.
