May 06, 2025

Coffee is more than just a drink. It’s a ritual for people like me, or a quick pick-me-up drink between meetings for others. It is the energy boost everyone needs!

However, as we welcome summer, we often start to worry about the summer-time laziness creeping in. And let’s be honest - when the heat hits, those hot cups of coffee suddenly feel impossible. But it’s still the caffeine kick that keeps our energy up and helps us stay active throughout the day.

But don’t worry, there’s always an alternative, which, in this case, is COLD COFFEE! It’s refreshing, energizing, and the perfect way to stay cool and energized in this scorching summer heat.

Here are 11 refreshing cold coffee recipes to keep you cool all summer long:

1. Classic Cold Coffee:

If you're craving a refreshing and creamy caffeine fix, a cup of classic cold coffee in a coffee mug is your best friend.

1-2 Tsp sugar or sweetener

3-4 Ice cubes

1 Scoop vanilla ice cream (optional)

Method: Mix the coffee, sugar, ice cubes, and 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk using a blender. Continue to blend until you achieve a frothy mixture. Add the rest of the milk and blend again to mix well.

Nestip: Pour some chocolate sauce along the rim of the glass before adding the drink. Pair the classic drink with some crispy cookies kept in an airtight jar or shortbreads.

2. Iced Espresso:

Working late like your favourite singer? Well, this easy cold espresso recipe will help you get through the night.

Ingredients:

1-2 Shots freshly pulled espresso (from an espresso machine, Moka pot, or AeroPress)

Lots of ice cubes.

Method: Brew 1 to 2 shots of hot espresso directly into an oven-safe cup. While the espresso is still warm, add your sugar or syrup to ensure complete dissolution. Prepare a tall glass filled with ice and then pour the sweetened espresso into it.

1-2 Tsp instant coffee

1-2 Generous tablespoons of Nutella

Sugar to taste

Ice cubes
