Nut Energy Balls: Healthy Sugar Free No Bake Snack #NestRecipe

Looking for that perfect 4:00 pm snack? Or a healthy snack with your early morning chai, just before a workout, or even when that sweet craving kicks in? Look no more!

We have the perfect little bite sized energy ball or bomb as we like to call it! It is packed with fibre, vitamins and nutrients. It is homemade, no bake, sugar free, naturally sweet and only takes a few minutes to roll up! And, to top it all, it can be made and stored in a jar to snack on later for days!!  

Les ingrédients:  

  • Dates- 1/2 cup
  • Cashews- 1/2 cup
  • Almonds- 1/2 cup
  • Walnuts- 1/4 cup
  • Flax seed- 1 tbsp
  • Pumpkin seeds- 1 tbsp
  • Dried Cranberries- 1tbsp
  • Cocoa powder- 1 tbsp
  • Salt- 1 pinch
  • Sesame seeds (optional) 

    NeSteps: 

    1. Crush the almonds, flax seed and cashews in a dry mixer to the fineness of your liking. (If it’s too coarse, it might not come together in a ball) 
    2. Chop up the walnuts or crush it as well 
    3. Remove seeds and mash the dates with a fork or in a food processor (use soft dates so the mixture is not dry!) 
    4. Add pumpkin seeds, cranberries, cocoa powder and salt
    5. Mix, mix, mix! (using your hands is best!) 
    6. Roll into balls and roll them in toasted sesame seeds (optional)
    7. Store in a jar and enjoy it with friends and family!

      NesTip:

      1. Not sweet enough for you? Add more dates or some maple syrup! 
      2. Not chocolaty enough for you? Add a tbsp more of cocoa powder!
      3. Don’t have all the nuts? Feel free to switch it up, will taste as good! 
      4. Mixture too sticky? Add some more crushed nuts!

        A wholesome nutritious snack, especially great for kids to swap their sweet packaged snacks for a natural healthy one!
